Turbulence influence factor estimation of gasoline-air explosion in multi-branch tubes

Abstract To estimate the turbulence influence of branch tubes on rising rate gasoline-air mixture explosion overpressure, factor α was introduced to modify formula peak rise overpressure. Then, experimental data overpressure and under different numbers branches were obtained. Finally, laminar flame velocity put into correction formula, factors calculated. The results show that increasing number will improve degree process. When branching pipes is 1, impact about 2.0 times in case no tube, while when more than fluctuates 3.5 times.
